Race: Are We So Different?

Saturday, February 24, 2018 - 10:00am - 12:00pm

Join us as we visit the special exhibit, Race: Are We So Different? at the Chicago History Museum on February 24th. The exhibit tells the stories of race from biological, cultural and historical points of view. It explores how the construct of race developed in conjunction with colonial ambitions and European goals of global domination. The exhibit is appropriate for youth and adults. Plan to be at the museum at 10am. A group will carpool from Good Shepherd at 9am. Contact Pastor Kathy for more details.

Meal Shepherds

Imagine that you are recovering from surgery or dealing with a sick loved one. Now imagine that a friend shows up with a basket filled with a warm dinner for your family. That is what the Meal Shepherds do. From time to time there are several families that need meals, but each Meal Shepherd is responsible for one or a few meals. Call the church office if you would like to be on the list of people who make meals.
