Jazz Prayer: Great Women of Jazz

Friday, March 16, 2018 - 7:30pm - 8:30pm

Since March is Women’s History month we are focused on female jazz composers. Not to be kept in the background, female jazz composers have made their own mark on the music scene, whether you consider early composers, such as Toshiko Akyhoshi, or Norah Jones. These ladies have had a hand in composing songs that both last the decades, becoming jazz standards and create new directions in jazz. Doors open at 7:10pm for appetizers and conversation. Music begins at 7:30pm.  This non-denominational event creates an opportunity for reflection and meditation in an ambiance of quality live jazz music. You'll encounter an hour of music like this. Your donation helps.
