Your charitable giving today can have an impact well into the future.

Hear from Mike Curits, FIC, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, about financial tools that may decrease your taxes and/or supplement retirement income. Come to one or both related sessions presented on Sunday May 5th and Sunday May 12th at 9:15am in the Fellowship Hall.

Kusuma Paul to Speak About Reach Out

Sunday, May 19, 2013 - 9:15am - 10:15am

We are pleased to welcome guest speaker Kusuma Paul to our congregation on Sunday, May 19.  Mrs. Paul is a social activist in her native India and has been the director of Reach Out for forty years.  Under her direction and with God’s blessing, Reach Out serves over 500 children every day with free education and meals.  The expansive ministry also features an orphanage that is the home to 300 children, a high school, a sewing center and a 50-bed hospital.  It is a haven of hope and mercy for hundreds of children and adults.

Sunday School Celebration

All are invited to our Sunday School celebration on May 19, 2013 beginning at 9:15am. We begin in the sanctuary with music and the ever popular quiz bowl. We continue the celebration party with treats in Fellowship Hall and end in time for worship at 10:30am. Parents, please join me in thanking our teachers for their time and talents in this important ministry this year. We are asking parents to help provide food for our celebration. If you can bring juice, muffins or fruit that would be great.

Educational Opportunities on Sunday morning

SUNDAY SCHOOL is for kids ages 2 through 6th grade. It begins in the sanctuary at 9:15 with music and then breaks into age group classes for rotations that go along with the Bible story of the week.

MIDDLE SCHOOLERS (7th/8th grade) meet on Sunday mornings as part of the Confirmation program. They also meet for Confirmation on Wednesday evenings beginning at 6:30pm.

ADULTS AND TEENS have several options:
1. Sunday Morning Bible Study meets in the Library at 9:10am for readings, on-the-spot research, stimulating discussion and good fellowship. No previous Bible-study background required. No homework!
2. Adult Forum is a small group study that has fellowship and discussion about a variety of topics.
