Kinship Sunday

Living into our mission statement we began celebrating Kinship Sunday on the day that many call Mothers’ Day several years ago. Our value of diversity within family structures and individual claims for personhood embraces the fullness of naming the relationships with meaning in our life. On Kinship Sunday, we exalt the nurturing that happens within our kinship relationships. We see ourselves part of deep and profound networks of care, that include nuclear families, blended families, and close relationship that become chosen families.
