What to Expect

In our worship, we seek to glorify God and inspire people.

As we worship, we speak to God and about God using a variety of Biblical metaphors: father, mother, shepherd, rock, light, guide, and many more. Such language expands and deepens our relationship with God. And we speak of people using language that we hope includes and honors all human beings as equally beloved children of God.

Our Worship Service

Experience worship in the sanctuary with music and readings tied to our liturgical themes of the seasons. Children are welcome as well and receive a special message each Sunday that is tailored for our younger audience. We worship at 8:30am and 10:30am on Sundays with Christian Education for all ages in between at 9:15am. (During the summer, we worship at 9:30am.) You can also worship with us at 10:30 LIVE on our website and all services can be found later on our YouTube Channel.

 Music in Worship

Like all good Lutherans, Good Shepherd enjoys music!

Diversity in our worship is most evident in the diversity of music that is featured throughout the service. Our traditional choir, gospel choir, jazz ensemble, featured soloists and new hybrid pipe organ provide the foundation for spirited and strong congregational singing and special music.

Celebrations in Worship

Worship experiences occasionally include drama, dance, individual healing prayers, pet blessings, celebration of ministries, baptisms, reception of new members, and farewell and shaloms for departing members of our community.

Good Shepherd PrayGround

What's a PrayGround? It's a dedicated space in our church where little ones (suggested for ages 5 and under) can play, color and explore. It's a space where they can see and hear the pastor and worship leaders clearly. And it's a place where the congregation can celebrate the joy that your child, wiggles, noises and all, brings to our congregation!
