Migrant Response & Support

On November 1st, Good Shepherd responded to a request to open our doors on a bitterly cold night to provide shelter to migrants sleeping outside in tents.

The following ten days were a whirlwind of activity at all levels as the community tried to meet the needs of the 100+ people housed in our building. We want to express our gratitude for all who offered support and encouragement during that time. What an amazing community we have!

In the fall and winter of 2023, Good Shepherd began accompanying two migrant families as they set up a home in Oak Park. If you would like to support these efforts, please donate using the button below.
