Throughout the history of Christianity, creeds have played a variety of roles. This short introduction will provide an overview of the origins of the two best-known Christian creeds, the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed, and how the roles of these creeds in Christian churches have evolved over the centuries. The time together will end with reflection on the roles creeds do and should play in Christian churches today and in the future, particularly at Good Shepherd.
